I am a huge Food Network fan and I just adore Paula Deen. It's kinda hard not to just love her...she's too cute! I was watching her last night and the theme for the show was "Risky Business". All 3 of her guests lived life on the edge.
The first guest was Captain Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch. One of my very favorite shows on Discovery. He brought one of the biggest crabs I have ever seen. He made fried crab and crab stuffed mushrooms. He was adorable and Paula was a shameless flirt. She told Phil that her man had a tattoo, which prompted Phil to take off his shirt and show off his tattoos. Could he please do that again! LOL
The second guest was Sugar Ray Leonard. He and Paula made BBQ Ribs together. Sugar Ray is such a nice guy. Paula couldn't believe that he could get in a boxing ring and fight the way he did. I was surprised to learn that he had won a Gold Medal in the 1976 Olympics. Since I was just a year old when that happened, I'm giving myself a reprieve...I couldn't have possibly known that! He was just awesome to watch, with the gloves off of course.
Paula's final guest was none other than Greg Biffle. Paula asked Greg about one of his horrible crashes that cost him a dislocated shoulder, cracked sternum, a few cracked ribs, knocked him out and woke him up to flames. Pretty scary...but Greg's cooking was anything but. Nicole, who was still his fiance at the time, was also there and was quite impressed seeing her man cook. The fact that they were cooking Ribeyes with blow torches probably didn't hurt either. Paula couldn't get her torch fired up so Greg, ever the gentleman, lit it for her. Too cute! Greg told Paula it was like being in his race car, 150 degrees for 4 1/2 hours. I'd say he'd be about well done by time he climbed out of that car. Thanks for putting up with that misery guys, I truly appreciate it. I had no idea the suffering you endure inside that car...no wonder I love you guys.
After the giggly pair scoffed down some ribeye, Greg took Paula outside to go for a spin in a Roush Mustang. He did some serious burnouts and doughnuts with Paula, who laughed and screamed her head off. I've really missed seeing Greg's burnouts. He's pretty darn good at that. Now if we can just get him in Victory Lane so we can see the awesome display on Sunday afternoon where it really counts.
Greg was an amazing guest who didn't let Paula's shameless flirting throw him off. He had some pretty cute comebacks and really played to the audience. It was cool to get to see him away from the race track, just being himself. Paula's Party is one party I hope I get an invitation to!
